In a press conference held by Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director, Manoj Murali, the company highlighted the transformative power of digital connectivity, particularly in the context of global collaboration and progress.

The Non-Aligned Movement and Group of 77 + China Summits

The NAM summit, which will take place between January 15-20, 2024 at the Speke Resort Convention Centre Munyonyo, will bring together representatives from 120 nations. This event serves as a platform for solidarity, cooperation, and mutual respect among countries striving for sustainable development, peace, and fairness in an interconnected world.

Reliable Internet Service for Delegates

Airtel Uganda has announced that it will provide both 5G and fibre cable internet connectivity for the summit, ensuring robust, dependable, and swift internet service throughout the event. This will not only facilitate communication among delegates but also promote the sharing of ideas and collaboration on a global scale.

With Airtel Uganda’s commitment to enabling impactful change, every interaction, document shared, and video conference at this summit has the potential to be the catalyst for innovative solutions, life-changing policies, or transformative partnerships across the world.

500 Simcards for Delegates

During the summit, Airtel Uganda will also provide 500 simcards for delegates, further promoting seamless communication and connectivity.

The Ministry of ICT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aminah Zawedde, expressed her appreciation for Airtel Uganda’s role in connecting the country and promoting digital transformation. She also commended the company for their positive attitude, kindness, and generosity in partnering with the government to ensure the success of the NAM and G77 Summits.
