Uganda Cranes Forward Calvin Hope Kabuye Joins Swedish Side Mjällby AIF
Uganda Cranes forward Calvin Hope Kabuye has officially been unveiled as a player for Swedish top-tier side Mjällby AIF. The 21-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
Kabuye joins Mjällby from Superettan side Sandvikens IF, where he has been since the start of 2024. During his time at Sandvikens, Kabuye made 29 appearances, contributing 7 goals and 9 assists, showcasing his playmaking abilities and eye for goal.
The talented forward previously played for other Swedish clubs, including AIK, Vasalund IF, and Östersunds FK, further solidifying his experience in Swedish football.
Mjällby AIF, officially known as Mjällby Allmänna Idrottsförening, competes in the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top-tier football league. The club recently concluded their season in impressive form, finishing 5th out of 16 teams after 30 matches.
Kabuye’s signing is expected to bolster Mjällby’s attacking options as they aim to build on their strong performance and push for higher ambitions in the upcoming seasons.
